Q. On a DEC system I get 'License is invalid for this version of the product'.

Q: I am on a DEC Ultrix or OSF/1 system and when I run AVS I get the error message above.

A: This error message is from your PHIGS library. The PHIGS license that you have is old and you need to upgrade it by contacting DEC. We statically linked AVS with version 2.4a and you need a license for that version of the PHIGS library.
