Q. How can I use AVS to import/export image formats other than the .x AVS image format?

A: Check out Terry Myerson's read any image and write any image modules on the IAC's web site. These modules are entirely based upon the San Diego Supercomputing Center's Image Tool library. All of the following image file formats are supported :

eps     Encapsulated PostScript file
gif     Compuserve Graphics image file
hdf     Hierarchical Data File
