Q. How do I specify a Field or a user defined data type as a subobject of a module I create using the Add Module tool?

You are using the Add module tool to create a module. One of your module's parameters is a Field, a user created type or some other group. How do you specify it as the type of the object?

A. From the Add Module tool's drop-down list of data types, select "other". You can then enter the path of the object template you want to use. An easier way is to click on the object in the Templates library. For example, if you want your parameter to be a uniform Field, click on Visualization.Field_Schema.Field_Unif. This object's type is entered into the type type-in.
